Annual WAPOR conferences are held in even-numbered years with AAPOR in North America and in odd-numbered years years in connection with the ESOMAR Congress in Europe. This arrangement permits WAPOR members to meet with academic, commercial, and government researchers from the main centers of survey research on both sides of the Atlantic.

The 59th annual conference was held May 18-21, 2006 in Montreal, Quebec in Canada.
